SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Vacant Justice Position Petition Process Independent Petitions for the Keene Justice Position accepted until June 30th, 2021. Candidates must go to the Essex County Board of Elections Office (7551 Court Street, P.O. Box 217, Elizabethtown, NY 12932) between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm ASAP to pick up the Independent Petition and choose an independent party and symbol. Petitions can be circulated over the next 5 days and must be submitted to the Board of Elections office by June 30th for a candidate to appear on the November 2nd, 2021 Ballot. Keene Youth Commission is thrilled to announce the return of a beloved summer tradition here in Keene, Capture the Flag! Starting on June 22 at 7 pm children and teens of all ages can come to iconic Marcy Field to play in this friendly but spirited game. When: Every Tuesday starting June 22 until August 24 from 7PM- 8:15PM. Where: Marcy Field Parking: At the Holt House or hiker parking and not on the lawn.

Town of Keene Strategic Plan: Adopted on June 8, 2021

The Town Board unanimously adopted the Town of Keene 2021 Strategic Plan at the June 8th Board meeting. Adoption of the plan does not mean that every recommendation will now be enacted, rather it signals a commitment by the Board to examine each set of recommendations and commit to working on the 5 areas outlined in the report; Seniors and Health Care, Childcare, Achievable Housing, Short Term Rentals and Hiker Parking and Recreation.
