The Town Resource Guide has been updated as of January 2026. Created by Keene's Age-Friendly Task Force, the Guide provides contact information (phone, web links, and/or street addresses) for local and nearby emergency: Health Care Social Services Supportive Housing and many other programs and services useful for local seniors. New residents and tourists may also find the information helpful. The Guide can be printed in whole or part from the Town website and hard copies are available at the Keene and Keene Valley libraries, as well as Town Hall. The Transfer Station will not be taking compost due to recent bear activity. As soon as the town acquires and installs a bear-proof shed normal composting service will resume. We apologize for the inconvenience.
