The new parking lot to access the oval is done! Also, the portion of the walking trail along the perimeter of the field that floods has been improved. This project has been completed with the support of the town board, help from Scott Smith and the Highway Department, and the planning efforts of Marcy Neville, Peter Slocum, and the Recreation planning committee. The funding came from occupancy tax revenue dedicated to community improvement projects.

The new parking area is off Rt 73 on the right as you pull in the main entrance to the field and oval. This parking area gives access directly to the oval and will be plowed all winter so people will have year-round access to walking on the oval.
The walking trail along the perimeter of the field has been subject to flooding, so we built up the low areas, added two culverts, and rerouted the lowest section.

These improvements should help make Marcy Field an asset for us to enjoy year-round. Thanks, and enjoy!
